Biolock
The BioLock Access Control Unit is a cost-effective electronic device geared towards controlling access to or within your premises. The BioLock uses an employee’s fingerprint for identification thus preventing unauthorised access. The BioLock can identify the user by fingerprint only or by ID code plus fingerprint.
The BioLock incorporates a relay that operates every time a valid fingerprint is read. This relay has voltage free contacts and can be used to operate an electric doorstrike or magnetic lock (supplied separately) The BioLock can also trigger other access barriers e.g. turnstiles, gates etc. as long as these devices have compatible electronic access interfaces.
Multiple fingerprints per employee can also be programmed so that, in the event of an injury to one finger, access can still be gained by the use of other fingers. The unit can store a maximum of 500 fingerprint templates and 30,000 transaction records.
The 80 character LCD display shows the current date & time and indicates the employee’s success or failure when clocking. The display and keypad are also used for all programming of the system parameters and enrolling of employee’s fingerprints. Therefore there is no need to have software to configure the BioLock and there is no need to connect it to a PC.
